i have started hiking again - i have to be pretty picky with what trails i choose but it is nice to be able to start to bring back some activities. i hope to be climbing again soon.

we got this much rain in about 10 minutes the other day and yes that is hail floating in the lake... it was damn cold water that came up past my knees in the middle

Not that it is really my office, but I never really took advantage of this room in the Spot. It has recently become my new place to write - with nice views of both the sky and people climbing.

Cynthia going up her first ever outdoor, real rock climb... i was excited :) she looks a little worried. I believe this was All Cows Eat Grass at Roadside Crag.

There isn't much bouldering in The Red, but Cynthia and I found some easy and beautiful stuff at Left Flank. It made for a great day of exloring. ...And if you would like to read the whole story of our trip to Kentucky, you can find it on the

I had a potatoe, chicken, spinach and mushroom half pizza (with no cheese) and man was in good - perhaps the best pizza I have had. I even had some left over pieces... too bad Beau found them before I get to enjoy them.

Here we are happy after a succesful belay/climb in the Red - this was after Face Up That Crack and before Mr.Bungle - both great 5.8s.

I miss you already Cynthia. I had such a great time with you in The Red... even during the interesting hour or so. I hope that we can do more things together in the future. Oh and look - pants... what I novel idea :)

It is so nice having Tom around again. I gave him catnip this morning and he went nuts over it. Tom and Beau are finally 'getting along' now. It is nice to be able to have them in the same room together.
